FreeBSD 10.1-RC1 Now Available

FreeBSD developer, Glen Barber has just announced on the FreeBSD mailing list that FreeBSD 10.1-RC1 has just been released for your testing consumption.

Don’t forget to use your closest mirror to get your copy.

Taken from the post, the following changes between BETA3 and RC1 include:

  • A bug that would cause all processes to appear to have the parent PID of ‘1’ has been fixed.
  • Various updates to bsdinstall(8) and bsdconfig(8).
  • The Hyper-V KVP (key-value pair) driver has been added, and enabled by default on amd64 and i386 architectures.
